Family Fun Day!

Morning everyone. Not a very nice day for a fun time with the Active Trailer. However, I will still be at school between 11 and 2 so if the wind disappears and the rain clears come on down to school for a look.

Wearable Art Parade

Wow! What a day. The Junior Syndicate students never cease to impress us with their creative abilities. It was a great show and a great audience! It wasn't easy for everyone to get on stage - but you did it! We are so proud of all of you. More photos will follow.

Wearable Art!

The Junior Syndicate is a buzz with all kinds of creative thoughts! This week Sue Cederman came into each class and shared her wearable art success with us! The picture is Billie from Room 2 wearing a creation from 2006. We are now busy creating all sorts of entries for our Wearable Art Parade - Thursday September 16 at 2pm. 

Father's Day Fun Afternoon!

Wow... Father's Day Fun Afternoon will be pretty hard to beat! It was such a fabulous afternoon. A big thank you to all those who came and joined in the fun.

Fun Things Coming Up!

We are all very excited about the Father's Day Fun Afternoon on Friday September 3. Lunch will be 12:30 - 1:30 and the events will start happening at 1:30. Come along and join in the fun!


Rooms 3 and 4 are presenting at School Assembly on Friday September 10. This starts at 2:15 in the PA Centre. 


Junior Syndicate Wearable Art - Thursday September 16 in the PA Centre at 2pm. Don't miss this inaugural event!

End of Term 3 is on the 24 September and we'll be back for a fun filled Term 4 on October 11!

Junior Syndicate Assembly 30 August

Junior Syndicate assembly was great today. Thanks so much to those Mums and siblings who came along to support us. Sarah Inglis (on behalf on the Cancer Society) presented us with an Certificate of Appreciation for making the Daffodil Day Art works. We hope we can do it again next year!

Next Junior Syndicate Assembly will be in Term 4.

Daffodil Day!

Friday 28 August was Daffodil Day! We wore yellow to celebrate and support the wonderful work the Cancer Society does in our district. 

Father's Day Fun Afternoon!

As a follow up to our successful Mother’s Day Morning Tea we are going to have a Junior Syndicate Father’s Day Fun Day.

This will be on Friday September 3 from 1:30pm. 

Please let Miss Strong know if you are keen to join in the fun!

Daffodil Day Art

This year the Junior Syndicate was asked to make pieces of art for Daffodil Day. We had so much fun and the art is brilliant! You can check out in person at the ANZ in Motueka - we are very proud of it!

Music Works!

Today we had Bob Bickerton perform for us. We got to hear 16 different instruments and had lots of laughs. It was so much fun and we got to learn a lot about instruments and music.

Assembly Certificates

All of these children received certificates at yesterday's assembly. Well done!

Junior Syndicate Assembly 26 July

We had a lovely assembly today. Room 1 shared the daffodils they have been making in preparation for Daffodil Day.














Rooms 2, 3 and 4 all shared poems. They are very good at reading with expression!

                                            

We were really excited to hear back from our representatives on the School Forum. The middle and senior students have asked that the juniors try not to run through their games. We will do our best!

Term 3 2010

Hi everyone! Welcome back to school for the third term. It looks like its going to be another exciting term.

We welcome some new faces this week. Connor in Room 1, Aidon and Jakob in Room 2 and welcome back to Ella in Room 4. Its fabulous to have new, happy faces to join our syndicate!

Wild Hair Day!

It was fabulous to see so many wild hair styles today. We raised money for the Salvation Army to build a hair salon in Rwanda so children can get their hair cut in a safe environment. 

Maths Quiz

Rooms 3 and 4 have been working really hard practicing their basic addition facts in preparation of the quiz they had today! Well done for all those who participated, those who represented their class and those who won!

Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is this Thursday (July 1)starting at 9:30am in the PA Centre! Our Fun Run is at 11am. Can't wait to see you there!
